Irving is our most commercial city. The Las Colinas corporate corridor, the flex and warehouse inventory feeding DFW Airport, and the hangar and ground-support facilities on the airport's perimeter put a different kind of floor in front of us than a residential suburb does. These are spaces measured in tens of thousands of square feet, running on schedules that do not pause for a flooring crew.

Red Diamond Epoxy is based in Irving, which means we are minutes from Las Colinas and Valley Ranch rather than driving in from another county. For a phased warehouse install or a night-shift office job, that proximity is the difference between a crew that shows up at 9pm and one that shows up at 10:30.

    Warehouse, flex and distribution floors

Warehouse floors near the airport take forklift traffic, pallet jacks, point loads from racking, and constant abrasion from grit dragged in off the dock. The priority is not appearance, it is a surface that resists wear, cleans quickly, and does not create a dust problem in a facility handling packaged goods.

Grind and seal is often the right specification here: mechanically profile the existing slab, repair joints and spalls, then apply a densifier and a hard-wearing sealer. It costs less than a full resin buildup, returns to service faster, and leaves you with a bright, low-dust surface that reflects light and cuts overhead lighting load. Where chemical exposure or wash-down is involved, we step up to a full high-build epoxy instead.

    • Phased installation so operations continue in the sections not being coated
    • Joint repair and rebuilt spalls at dock doors and forklift lanes
    • Line striping for aisles, staging areas and safety walkways
    • Anti-slip aggregate where wet loading or wash-down occurs

Office, lobby and flex space in Las Colinas

Corporate space along the Las Colinas corridor wants the opposite of a warehouse floor: quiet, uniform, and good-looking under architectural lighting. Polished-look grind and seal reads as intentional modern concrete in a lobby, and a fine-broadcast flake works well in break rooms, corridors and back-of-house where cleanability matters more.

Tenant-improvement timelines are unforgiving, so we schedule around trades rather than expecting the building to wait. Coating goes in after drywall and paint, before final fixtures, and we work nights when a floor above or below is occupied.

    Hangars and ground-support facilities

Aviation floors are their own category. Jet fuel, hydraulic fluid and de-icing chemicals are aggressive, wheel loads are extreme, and a hangar deck is often a very large, very old slab with a moisture history nobody documented. We test, we specify a chemical-resistant high-build system, and we plan the sequence so the floor comes back in usable sections.

The same moisture rules apply here as anywhere in North Texas, only the consequences are bigger. On a slab-on-grade hangar deck with no under-slab vapor retarder, an MVB is not optional.

Residential work in Valley Ranch and Hackberry Creek

Irving homes are the smaller half of our work here, but they are steady. Valley Ranch and Hackberry Creek garages are typically 1980s–2000s slabs in good condition, and they take a flake or metallic system with minimal repair work.

Because we are local, residential estimates in Irving are usually available within a day or two, and there is no travel charge anywhere in the metroplex. Every garage gets the same moisture reading, the same diamond grind, and the same lifetime warranty against peeling and delamination that our commercial clients get.
